STORY

Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is a fascinating place where bicycles play a central role. The first bike lane dates from 1892, but there was a time – 1970s -when bikes and biking was in decline and almost dying. Loyal bikers united and pressured the government to improve the existing infrastructure and create new ones. Today biking in Copenhagen and the entire country, is safe and effective, a model for the rest of the world: it benefits the environment, the health and the economy of the country. This 9:46 documentary seeks to capture the dynamism and intensity of “Copenhagen, biker’s paradise.”
